Why I can't add using IE new tags? Why I can only accept exising, suggested tags?

Martin Lemburg 10 years ago updated by Davor Zlotrg (Owner) 10 years ago 1
I'm, as example, interested in Windows C++ programming, so I'd like to setup the tags #Win32, #c++, #MFC.
Since we use the BCGControlBar library, I'd like to use additionally #BCGPro.

But currently I'm only able to select a suggested and existing tag!

Think about adding a list of available tags to choose from, in addition to adding them by typing.

Andrew Mosby 10 years ago updated by Davor Zlotrg (Owner) 10 years ago 4
It would be helpful to have a list of tags from which to choose. I would probably need other tags than those in my tag list, and I would add them if I saw them.

Easy way to add new tags

Ewoks 6 years ago 0

There should be a way to propose new tags like linux, ai, ml, spring, etc. which are missing at the moment. If nothing else articles under these newly proposed tags should contain tag word in titles to avoid manual tagging, but that can be considered too

Simplify subscribing to feeds

Chad 10 years ago updated by Davor Zlotrg (Owner) 10 years ago 3
While reading an article, a link is displayed along the left side with the name of the RSS feed. Clicking on the link opens the site in a new window.

Suggestion: add a small button to allow the user to subscribe to the feed - similar to what is available on the master feed page.

Navigate articles from lightbox

Keith Frank 10 years ago updated by Davor Zlotrg (Owner) 10 years ago 5
Clicking an article opens a modal, but you have to close it in order to open other articles from the main list. Maybe throw in some keyboard shortcuts to move to the next article once we have the modal open?

Pop-up window shows off the right side of the screen

Chad 10 years ago updated by Davor Zlotrg (Owner) 10 years ago 4
Clicking on the down-arrow found in the bottom right corner of any article panel on the front page causes the pop-up bubble (allowing ignore, etc) to display off the right side of the screen. It also causes the bottom scroll bar to grow in width. Very difficult to click any choices as the pop-up disappears as soon as the cursor leaves the scroll bar.

This should be changed to stay within the boundary of the screen.
