Why I can't add using IE new tags? Why I can only accept exising, suggested tags?

I'm, as example, interested in Windows C++ programming, so I'd like to setup the tags #Win32, #c++, #MFC.
Since we use the BCGControlBar library, I'd like to use additionally #BCGPro.

But currently I'm only able to select a suggested and existing tag!

Hey Martin,

You can not choose non existing tags for your "Favorite tags" because it didn't seem right to me to be able to do that?! Maybe I am wrong but you wouldn't get any results since there are no such tagged articles so I disabled it.

What you can do is: search for articles on those topics (tag those articles - on the article page you can create a new tag, just press enter if you don't get any suggestions).
If search doesn't give you any results try finding some blogs out there and submit them (note that I don't crawl websites on the internet, I only crawl blogs that users submit - that's why search results may not yield any results)

After you tag the first article you will be able to choose it as your favorite one.
